Mills Engineering, LLC is the sponsor of the septic-design.info blog.  The company became a full-time venture for Professional Engineer Kathy Mills in 2006 with the mission to offer high quality water and waste water project design services in Arizona.

Since 2006 the company has designed hundreds of septic systems, both conventional and alternative treatment systems, for residential and commercial projects in Maricopa, Gila, Pinal, Yavapai, Pima, Cochise, and Coconino Counties.   The on-site waste water  systems have ranged from 300 gallons per day to 23,800 gallons per day flow capacity.

Eljen sand trenches, Biomicrobics MicroFAST aerobic treatment, Clearstream aerobic treatment, Norweco aerobic treatment, Jet aerobic treatment, Cromoglass aerobic treatment, Premier Tech Peat Filters, Septitech textile filters, Orenco Advantex textile filters,  and ultraviolet lamp disinfection systems have been used to treat waste water and overcome site limitations.

A native to Arizona, Kathy Mills grew up in Tucson, and learned the importance of water in the desert southwest at an early age.   After completing a Bachelor’s degree at DePauw University in Indiana, she returned to Tucson and studied water and waste water engineering at the University of Arizona and earned a Master of Science in Civil Engineering.

Mills Engineering has also designed well arsenic treatment systems, waterline extensions and distribution systems, grading and drainage plans, booster stations, storage tanks, and sewer lift stations.
